A bit about me

I never thought I’d write a book. I only used to read. Science Fiction, Fantasy, Historical Fiction, and then History. But one day the urge to write came over me. I had a story, and it wanted to be written, so I sat down at my computer and began to type.

I’d been following the news since I turned 18. Middle East, Europe, Islam, Jihad, mass immigration, bombings. This congealed into a chrysalis, from which a message emerged, and I poured it into my story. It was raw and unformed at first, but it slowly crystalized into something hard and unyielding. Like it or hate it, it’s there, but it doesn’t dominate the story. I wrote a novel, not a blog post.

I’m currently editing it, in preparation for publication. Self-publishing, in all likelihood, which means I’ve got to try to find my audience myself. That’s why I’m here typing this, and that’s why you’re here, reading it. If it sounds interesting, sign up, and I’ll let you know when it’s published. We’ve seen momentous changes in the Nations of the West in the decades since 9/11. Certain subjects pop up in the news every other day, it seems, but they’re completely absent from our cultural output. Superhero movies? Yes. Live action Disney remakes? Yes. But the single greatest threat to the future of our culture? No, never, not with a ten-foot pole. Here’s another Star Wars movie to masticate on.

I’m done with that. This is the future we’re building for our children. If we can’t even describe it honestly, what chance have they got? I suppose that’s a concise description of the setting of The Return. The future we’re building for our children.
